National Night Out 08

by locking your doors, turning on your outside lights, and getting to know your neighbors!!! That's right, it's time
to show the criminals we are organized and fighting back and they are not welcome in our neighborhoods. Join
thousands of other communities across the United States on August 5th, 2008, by spending the night outside and
giving crime a going away party!!

In Des Moines, this year's theme is "Neighbors Helping Neighbors"…what better way to be involved in your
community by getting to know your neighbors while helping to meet a need in our community!! This year the Des
Moines Police Department and State Farm Insurance Company are working together to collect food donations for
the Des Moines Food Bank. State Farm Insurance will take donations between July 21st and August 1st.
