the guest yachts are moored.

Also new this year is the Boardwalk Bistro. While enjoying the many
fine food selections, you can sit on the boardwalk and watch all the
boating activities.

The three-day music festival runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 17 through 19 at
Saltwater State Park, 25205 8th Place South, Des Moines. Flute Quest is the
largest Native American flute festival in the Northwest and features internationally
known flutists and accomplished local musicians. Adults and children interested
in the history and culture surrounding the Native American flute or wanting to learn
how to play the flute are welcome to the festival. The Discover Pass is required for
vehicle access to the event.

The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission and the Washington
State Parks Foundation invite the public to attend ShellFest 2012 at Saltwater
State Park in Des Moines.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 18 at Saltwater State Park, 25205
8th Pl. S. The event features fun activities for the whole family, including low-tide
beach walks led by local experts, touch tanks, ice tables, children's activities,
craft booths, face painting, paddle making, videos and more.

Lunch is free and provided by Taylor Shellfish, with a suggested donation of $5
for individuals and $10 for families that will go to the Washington State Parks
Foundation. Admission is free. The Discover Pass is required for vehicle access
to the event

The Des Moines Rotary Club invites you to attend the 3rd Annual Poverty Bay Blues and Brews Fest. This event is the prime fundraiser for our Music4Life program expanding music to youth in our local schools. Enjoy a day filled with local blues together with a variety of fine brews from local breweries. To complement your blues and brews, we will be barbecuing Bratwurst and B&E Market's famous Tri Tip for your dining enjoyment. The Festival will be located on the shores of Puget Sound at the Des Moines Beach Park. This is an outdoor event and will be held rain or shine, you must be 21 or older to attend and no pets will be allowed inside the event. No outside food or beverages allowed. Low lawn chairs and picnic blankets allowed. There will be plenty of free parking in the Des Moines Marina. While you are in town, you might want to visit the Des Moines Farmer's Market.

Tickets are $25 in advance; $30 at the gate. Six tasting tokens included with the price of admission.

SKF&R joined the existing resources from the Federal Way Fire Department and
King County Fire District #26 Des Moines to provide fire services to the communities
of Des Moines, Federal Way, and adjoining Unincorporated King County. South King
